Join us for the 23rd Annual Austin Museum Day on 9/20 from 12pm - 5pm for our current exhibitions, ELA 25: Interseccion: Choque & Alivio (Intersection: Shock and Relief) and The 37th Annual Dia de los Muertos Community Altars. Mexic-Arte Museum will feature a streaming workshop of our El Dia de los Muertos Education Lesson: How to create your own Papel Picado via in person at the Museum OR virtually throughout Austin Museum Partnership’s Facebook Live stream on the day of the event. Our next Family Day Workshop at Mexic-Arte Museum will be a streaming event that takes place on Sunday, August 30th from 2pm - 3:30pm and will highlight our current exhibit!

The Mexic-Arte Museum would like to invite you to a panel discussion centering on racism within the art community with speakers Dr. Cherise Smith, Tammie Rubin, Elaina Brown-Spence, Dr. Cary Cordova, and Mexic-Arte Museum Development Coordinator, Danielle Houtkooper as our moderator. Please join us on Thursday, August 27th from 5:00pm - 6:30pm CST with a Q&A taking place during the last 30 minutes of the online panel discussion. Media Mixers are back as a streaming event! On Wednesday, August 26th, from 6pm-8:00pm CST our education department will be hosting a free online painting workshop as a part of our current exhibition!

The Mexic-Arte Museum is proud to host Bruno Andrade Retrospective: A Native of South Texas Panel Discussion. Panelists will examine the place of Bruno Andrade in American and Latinx art history and his impact as an educator in South Texas.
