Join us on Tuesday, Feb 25th for our LAST Media Mixer for the Unseen Prints from the Mexic-Arte Museum Collection Exhibit. Come print your very own pattern design on a tote bag using the block printing method. We will also be demo-ing new screen print designs so feel free to BYOS (bring your own tshirt tote bag, bandana etc.) to print on!
Free admission at the Mexic-Arte Museum on Thursday, February 20th from 5pm-8pm! No need to RSVP, just walk in!
Totally Cool, Totally Art (TCTA) is a city program which offers community-based arts education for Austin teens in grades 7 to 12. Mexic-Arte Museum’s ongoing partnership with the City of Austin provides a formal gallery space for the display of artwork created by teens in TCTA after-school workshops. TCTA stays open to the public until March 1st.

Mexic-Arte Museum’s Viva La Vida Fest is Austin’s largest and longest-running DÃa de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) festival. The festival features a Grand Procession, the Education Pavilion with hands-on art activities and artist demos, and a celebration with traditional foods, local artist and retail booths, a low-rider exhibition, live music and performances throughout the day. Free Admission!

Join the Education Department at Mexic-Arte Museum for a day of art projects and museum activities led by exhibiting artist Robert Jackson Harrington as part of our upcoming Expresiones en Esculturas/Expressions in Sculptures Exhibit. Children of all ages and their families are invited to the Museum to learn about the artwork from the exhibition on July 28th.
