If you've ever been interested in learning how to screen print your own designs- or already know how but would like to learn MORE techniques, Nuestra Lucha is the camp for you!
This summer Mexic-Arte Museum will be offering 3 different opportunities for you to attend a FREE camp where you will learn about eating healthy and environmental awareness, you will also have the chance to design a logo to promote one of these two topics and get to print it as a final poster and on a 100% organic tote bag using Screen printing techniques!
The quick facts:
Are you as concerned about the state of our world as we are? We think it's up to all of us to do something about the problems we face.
What if you could spend a week of your summer learning to make a huge difference in the world, while also meeting amazing like-minded friends, finding your voice, and having a ridiculously fun time all at once?
"Nuestra Lucha Summer Camp" by Mexic-Arte Museum will guide you to inspire yourself to Screenprint your very own social justice posters for marches or distribution and you will leave knowing that you are making a real difference on important issues in our world, like racism or the environment, women's rights or LGBTQ equality, bullying, animal rights, or any other cause important to your identity. "Nuestra Lucha Summer Camp" will show you how!
The Camp last 4 days and is available twice in July on the following dates:
July 22–25 (2pm–5pm)
July 29–August 1 (2pm–5pm)
Both camps will be held at Southeast Branch, Austin Public Library.
