We are thrilled to invite you to participate in the Mexic-Arte Museum’s annual Mexico City Art Tour this fall, Sept. 13 -18. Executive Director, Sylvia Orozco organizes and leads the tour and takes you in an unforgettable experience of Mexico City. Together, we will take a walking tour of historic downtown Mexico City, visit the Zocalo, Alameda Park, Museo Templo Mayor, the Palacio de Bellas Artes and the Museo Nacional de Arte INBA.

One day will be dedicated to the life and art of Mexico’s most famous artist couple, Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera where we will visit Museo Casa Estudio Diego Rivera y Frida Kahlo, the Museo Dolores Olmedo, Museo Frida Kahlo, and Coyoacán Plaza.

The trip includes visits to sites in Chapultepec Park such as the Museo Nacional de Historia, Castillo de Chapultepec, Museo Nacional de Antropología, and other nearby attractions such as the El Museo Soumaya. Additionally, there will be an artist studio visit and exceptional dining experiences. Additionally, during this trip, you will get to experience the most important holiday celebration in Mexico - Mexican Independence Day. This unparalleled celebration will include dinner, a dance, and parade. The trip is a once in a lifetime experience filled with informative tours, delicious foods, and fun!

Tour cost includes: roundtrip airfare from Austin through AeroMexico; hotel accommodations at the Hilton Mexico City Reforma with breakfast included and all transportation in Mexico City; and admission to museums.
