About the Ruben Dario Villa:
Ruben Dario Villa is a graphic designer as well as founder of Fúchila Fresheners. His mission is to seek, spread and represent the Chicano and Latino cultura with pride by providing an inviting and unique way to consume art on a daily basis. By pairing attractive designs with the power of scent, one of the strongest senses linked to memory, hes aims to tap into the nostalgia of the iconic imagery and icons of our raza. Fúchila will focus on high-quality design so consumers will hang the scented art pieces with orgullo long after the scent has faded and ultimately re-purpose the air fresheners.
Changarrito is a pop-up art cart, conceptualized by artist Maximo Gonzalez as an alternative to official gallery selections in Mexico. Faithful to their original, informal spirit, Changarritos exist throughout the world, evolving as forums for the sale of original artwork to the general public, presentation of public programs, special curatorial projects, individual and collective exhibitions. Mexic-Arte Museum has hosted the Changarrito Artist Residency program since 2012 and has featured over 50 artists.
